Emphasizing the architectural nature of bamboo, the SMR23 Window balances soft materiality and precise craft. A color palette of acidic greens and neutrals highlight soft elements within a graphic composition.
The painted bamboo and acidic green art wall add an element of play within the rigid display. The graphic wood arc compliments the bamboo screen providing textural calm within the composition. The arc is finished with a bent rattan border, grounding the element in the window’s soft material palette. In order to accommodate it’s large radius, a 6ft circle jig was constructed to precisely cut the wood arc.

SMR23 FRONT OF STORE
Shades of acidic green and pops of metallic silver and hot orange ignite the color palette for the SMR23 Front of Store display. Jewelry-like clusters of abstracted leaves adorn the column of spliced bamboo.
The bamboo is given a layered ombre treatment of citron glaze while foil backed paper leaves are treated with high flow acrylic and spray paint.
